Professionally unnecessary since 2026

A seriousinstrumentfor anunseriousquestion.

BALLZI exists because confidence is loud, memory is unreliable, and somehow nobody at the party brought calibrated equipment. So we did.

01

The problem

Everybody had a number.

None of the numbers agreed. The witnesses were compromised. The room was emotional. Bragging rights had been issued without supporting documentation.

02

The intervention

We brought paperwork.

A simple recreational reference instrument. A repeatable ritual. A private answer to a question that absolutely did not require an answer—until someone asked it.

TheBALLZIstandard.

Six principles. Zero medical conclusions. Unreasonable commitment to the bit.

01Measure once.

Then tell the story as many times as necessary.

02Keep it private.

Discreet in. The volume of the announcement is your problem.

03Comfort first.

Never force a fit. Confidence survives a recount.

04No diagnosis.

It measures a reference. It does not explain your life.

05Bring witnesses.

Only if everybody involved thinks that is funny.

06Commit fully.

The joke works because the instrument refuses to wink.

From the desk of BALLZI

The unofficial official story.

Our Origin Story

Every instrument begins with a disturbance in the field.

BALLZI was not designed. It was provoked. The first unit was assembled after a disagreement that had gone on long enough to outlast patience, several rounds of drinks, and one increasingly unreliable tape measure. What was needed was not an opinion. What was needed was a standard.

We built one. Then we built it better, twice, and gave the results names: the Personal Edition, for private matters, and the Party Field Kit, for matters that had stopped being private the moment someone brought it up in front of everyone.

We have not resolved the original disagreement. We are no longer sure that was the point.

A Word on Purpose

BALLZI exists to answer a question precisely, consistently, and with a straight face, regardless of whether the question should have been asked at all. We do not claim medical accuracy. We do not claim social wisdom. We claim repeatability, and we stand behind it with a two-edition lineup and a level of seriousness the subject matter has never once earned.

We are, by design, completely unnecessary. We have simply chosen to be unnecessary with rigor.

We made the unnecessary inevitable.

Now somebody has to measure it.
